<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory system and a control method thereof that can suppress read disturb in a flash memory. <P>SOLUTION: The memory system and control method thereof employ the flash memory 11 limited in data read by read disturb, a nonvolatile memory 12 for retaining read count that is updated every time data is read from the flash memory 11 and is used in refreshing the flash memory 11 according to comparison with a reference value determining read disturb, and a control means for controlling the data read from the flash memory 11 and the read count update in the nonvolatile memory 12 according to an access command from a host PC 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
