LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition excellent in fuel saving efficiency with high performance applicable to high power output automobiles and other high power output and high rotation gear mechanisms as a gear oil. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil composition having 75W-85 in SAE viscosity grade, satisfying GL-5 in an API gear oil type and having≥160 viscosity index is prepared by using a poly-α-olefin and an ester compound through mixing the both. The mixture of the poly-α-olefin with the ester compound is used by bringing the mixture to have 75-90 mass% mixture based on the entire amount of the lubricating oil composition. The poly-α-olefin is a mixture of a low viscosity one having about 3-6 mm2/s dynamic viscosity at 100°C with a high viscosity one having about 35-45 mm2/s dynamic viscosity at 100°C. The content of the low viscosity poly-α-olefin is >50% based on the entire poly-α-olefin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
