<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner container which is excellent in handling so that toner does not leak during attaching/detaching operations and during conveyance after recovery by easily and surely closing a toner introducing portion thereof, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the toner container. <P>SOLUTION: A waste toner container 201 which is configured as a separate body from the apparatus main body 100a of the image forming apparatus 100 outputting an image by using toner and is attachable to and detachable from the apparatus main body 100a includes: a toner introducing port 221 through which the toner is introduced into the waste toner container 201; a shutter 230 which freely opens and closes the toner introducing port 221; a shutter opening and closing lever 240 for slide-operating the shutter 230; a lever guide 250 which guides the operation of the shutter opening and closing lever 240; a lock cover 260 which regulates the operation of the lever guide 250; and a switch lever 270 for switching the shutter 230 to a state where opening and closing operations are possible or to a state where opening and closing operations are impossible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
