PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb vibration generated in a wheel of an automobile during traveling and improve riding comfort in a wheel drive device for the automobile wherein a power source is mounted to the wheel. SOLUTION: The wheel is supported by a power output shaft (7) of a power part fixed to a vehicle body (11), a support arm mounted to a vibration suppressing device (9) and an arm support component (1). Thus, when vibration is applied to the wheel due to the irregularity of a road surface, since the power output shaft (7) cannot be moved to the vertical longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, the wheel performs circular motion around the axial center of the power output shaft (7) and a portion of the wheel contacting with the ground is vertically displaced.
