PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an irregular pattern forming method which can prevent a convex pattern portion from getting out of order and slipped. SOLUTION: The irregular pattern forming method is employed to intermittently print a concavity pattern 2 on a base material 1 by a dye ink by an inkjet printer, and then to print a convexity pattern 4 in the intermitted portions 3 of the concavity pattern 2 printed by the dye ink by a pigment ink by the inkjet printer. Furthermore, in printing the convexity pattern 4 in the intermitted portions 3 of the concavity pattern 2 printed by the due ink by the inkjet printer by the pigment ink by the inkjet printer, the method partially superposes the pigment ink of the convexity pattern 4 on the dye ink of the concavity pattern 2.
