PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hallux valgus corrector that a patient with this physical abnormality can wear ordinary footwear on his/her daily use, and feel free and easy to go out with e.g., sandals on his/her bare feet wearing the corrector, because it is inconspicuous, and that gives him neither pains nor uncomfortable feeling during use, can readily be repaired and manufactured at low costs. SOLUTION: The hallux valgus corrector comprises a plate-like flexible main body 2 and ring-shaped (annular) engagements 3, 4 formed at both the longitudinal ends 23, 24 of the inner surface 20 of main body 2 for engagement with the big toe and the second toe, as shown in Fig.5. When the corrector is used, the outer surface 21 of the plate-like main body 2 is elastically bent inward in the longitudinal direction between the big toe and the second toe so that its inner surface 20 is tightly attached along the fork between them. In this state, the corrector plate-like main body 2 has its elastic force to restore the normal condition for acting on the big toe and the second toe for separating them from each other.
