PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for detecting phosphated protein in a biological specimen, which requires the prevention of hydrolysis of the phosphate ester so as to preserve the phosphorylated state of the protein at a certain time point, and to provide a method for the same. SOLUTION: There are provided the liquid composition containing an enzyme having a phosphatase activity, an orthovanadate, mannitol and a dithiothreitol, also the use of the composition for inhibiting the phosphatase and a kit including the composition.
