[PROBLEMS] To provide a white polyester film which has both a high reflectivity and a high hiding power, hardly causes film breakage, and has high productivity, in view of the problems of the conventional techniques. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Disclosed is a white polyester film having void spaces in its inside, wherein a resin constituting the film is in the form of a layer composed of a polyester resin and a cyclic olefin copolymer resin, the cross-section of the layer has a void occupancy ratio of more than 25% and not more than 75%, and the cyclic olefin copolymer resin has a number average particle diameter of 0.1 to 3 µm inclusive in the film.
