<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent clogging of a filter, by increasing regeneration oppotunities of the filter. <P>SOLUTION: The filter 24 for collecting a particulate in exhaust gas and an oxidation catalyst 22 for raising the temperature of the filter 24, are arranged in an exhaust passage 21 of an engine E as indicated in Fig.1. The filter 24 is regenerated by supplying unburnt fuel to the oxidation catalyst 22 by performing post-injection from a fuel injection valve 9 on condition that the engine cooling water temperature is the first predetermined temperature (the regeneration performing temperature) or more, when the particulate collected to the filter 24 becomes a predetermined quantity or more. When travel time up to OFF from ON of an ignition switch 46 is a predetermined value or less, the first predetermined temperature is changed to the a low temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
