PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid container which allows a residual amount detection means to be easily connected to a container main body, and suppresses upsizing of the container main body. SOLUTION: The residual amount detection means 11 attached to the container main body 5 of an ink cartridge 1 is provided with a container fitting section relatively rotatably fitted in a detection means fitting section of the container main body 5. The residual amount detection means and the container main body are fitted in each other in their mutually connecting sections with fitting means attached to the mutually connecting sections.
