PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin type television and a thin type display device which can be easily carried by simple configuration. SOLUTION: In the thin type display device 1 provided with a thin type display part 2 for displaying image information and a stand main body 4 for supporting the thin type display part 2, the stand main body 4 is provided with a support table part 5 having a support 51 for supporting the thin type display part 2, a support shaft 6 provided in the support table part 5, and a pair of mounting table part 7a and 7b attached rotatably to the support shaft 6, a handle part 8 is formed in the pair of mounting table parts 7a and 7b, when the pair of mounting table parts 7a and 7b are expanded almost horizontally, the thin type display part 2 is supported in an almost erect state, and when the pair of mounting table parts 7a and 7b are closed almost vertically, a person can carry the thin type display part 1 by holding the handle part 8.
