PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanging tool capable of being easily attached and detached with respect to a flat part of an article such as H-shape steel or a steel plate and capable of safely hanging up the article. SOLUTION: The hanging tool 10 constituted so that a lower end of a hook supporting member 11 is abutted to an end of a hook member 12 from an upper part and an opening of the hook member 12 is closed by the hook supporting member 11 at least in the hanging-up state is provided with a lock means 13 for locking the hook supporting member 11 in such a manner capable of changing the attitude between a closed position of closing the opening of the hook member 12 and an open position of opening the opening of the hook member 12. The hook member 12 is equipped with an arm part 12a rotatably connected to the hook supporting member 11, a supporting part 12b horizontally extended from a lower end of the arm part 12a to a front part and receiving the flat part of the article from a lower side, and a fitting pin part 12c extended upward from a front end of the supporting part 12b and capable of being inserted into a hanging hole 32 formed on the flat part of the article.
