The box girder (9) has a plate-shaped upper belt (1) in a layer design consisting of two layer plates (1.1, 1.2) made of solid wood, and a plate-shaped lower belt (2) consisting of two layer plates (2.1, 2.2). Bars (3.1, 3.2) connect the upper belt and the lower belt, run in a longitudinal direction of a carrier and are arranged between the upper belt and the lower belt. The bars consist of soft wood planks and/or composite wood with composite layers. A bar (3.n) is arranged between the bars, and contacting or colliding parts that are pasted with each other.
