<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy the requirement for an antioxidant corresponding to various active oxygen species, wherein, though carotenoids, ascorbic acids, and tocopherols have been found to have antioxidation effects, but a type of antioxidant is effective to a limited range of active oxygen species, and therefore, the antioxidant corresponding to various active oxygen species have been required. <P>SOLUTION: The antioxidant comprising a carotenoid, an ascorbic acid and a tocopherol in a pharmaceutical formulation can simultaneously scavenge various active oxygen species more effectively than the single use of the components and has been found to have remarkable antioxidant effect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
