<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel in which a seal device with a sensor capable of sensing stably by reducing the effect of an external force is adopted. <P>SOLUTION: This bearing device 11 for a wheel comprises a wheel side raceway member 12 having an inner raceway surface, a vehicle body side raceway member 13 having an outer raceway surface, rolling elements disposed between the inner raceway surface and the outer raceway surface, and a seal device fitted to the ends of the wheel side raceway member 12 and the vehicle body side raceway member 13. The seal device comprises a part to be detected, a sensor for detecting the part to be detected, a fixed side seal member holding the sensor within the range of ± 5° around the rotating center of the wheel side raceway member 12 from the horizontal plane extending through the rotating center of the wheel side raceway member 12 and fixed to the vehicle body side raceway member 13, a rotating side seal member holding the part to be detected and fixed to the wheel side raceway member 12, and a sealing member for sealing a bearing inner space between the fixed side seal member and the rotating side seal member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
