<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in angle measurement to far-distant targets by using signal processing resources surplus when detecting far-distant targets. <P>SOLUTION: When detecting far-distant targets by transmitting radio waves of pencil beams at a number of pulse hits fewer than the time of normally detecting targets, all the plurality of received beam processing systems used for normally detecting targets are used to form received beams and determine their angle measurement information and target amplitude information. A correlation processing part selects angle measurement information of received beams of the highest S/N ratio from among each angle measurement information acquired by the plurality of reception beam processing systems, performs correlation processing with transmitted beams on the selected angle measurement information, and determines final angle measurement values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
