PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power line communication apparatus capable of eliminating a fault due to transmission of PLC signals without turning off the power source of the entire equipment. SOLUTION: The power line communication equipment which performs communication with a power line as a signal transmission line includes a transmission level reduction means capable of reducing the transmission level of signals for power line communication to be transmitted to the power line. When given interference is large, by reducing or turning off the PLC signals by a user operation or the like, an interference level with other radio stations is set to an acceptable value.
