<p>A camera head (2) of a head separated camera (1) is provided with an adjustment value storing section (9) which stores black balance adjustment values (OBR, OBG, OBB) for each of three imaging elements (5); and a black balance adjusting circuit (8) which adjusts the black balance based on the adjustment values (OBR, OBG, OBB) so that black levels of video signals are substantially at the same level. Each video signal with the black balance adjusted by the black balance adjusting circuit (8) is transmitted from the camera head (2) to a camera control unit (3). Thus, even when the combination of the camera head, a camera cable and a camera control unit is changed, black balance is not necessarily readjusted.</p> |
