<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muscular atrophy inhibitor which has more effective and safe muscular atrophy inhibition and can be used for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The muscular atrophy inhibitor contains Panax ginseng as an active ingredient. Preferably, the muscular atrophy inhibitor further contains at least one of creatine and a casein decomposed peptide. As the Panax ginseng, Panax noto-ginseng is preferred, and an extract thereof with water and its product washed with ethanol are more preferred.
