摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing unit achieving high-speed reproduction without lowering reproduction performance. SOLUTION: The information reproducing unit comprises: a digital conversion section; an equalizer; an interpolator; a maximum likelihood detector; and a PLL section. The digital conversion section converts a signal read from an optical disk medium where information is recorded by a run-length limited code in which minimum run length is 1 to a digital signal, and outputs it in synchronization with the first clock that is N/M times the channel frequency, where N is an integer of not less than 2 and M is an integer satisfying N/M>0.5. The equalizer equalizes a digital signal to PR characteristic in synchronization with the first clock. The interpolator converts the digital signal to M output data, based on N input data outputted from the equalizer, and outputs output data in synchronization with a second clock that is 1/M times the channel frequency. The maximum likelihood detector converts to M-bit detection information based on data outputted from the interpolator, and outputs detection information in synchronization with the second clock.
