PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital signal processor using handshake interface system, and its driving method. SOLUTION: The driving method of the digital signal processor includes a step which inputs a request signal to execute an application program from the outside, a step which reads out an address corresponding to the input request signal, a step which reads out application program codes corresponding to the address from a program memory in which one or more application program codes are recorded and performs the requested application program by the read-out application program codes, and a step which outputs to the outside an end signal indicating information that execution of the application program completes after the execution of the application program completes.
