PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strength-reinforced broom improving a sweeping property by uniformizing the density of broom bristle bundles; and a cleaning method using the same. SOLUTION: This strength-reinforced broom is filled with broom bristle bundles formed by bundling a plurality of broom bristles and storing them in cylindrical bodies formed of swingable coil springs, at an optional interval to reinforce the strength. The broom bristle bundles are stored in non-dense state at least in the head part of the coil spring and the winding shape of the coil spring, at least in the head part, is a triangle or another polygon.
