PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reproducibility of color relative to image signals generated by an image pickup device for capturing subjects tinged with specific color suck as an image pickup device provided in an endoscope device. SOLUTION: This image processor is provided with a color signal processing section 32 and a luminance signal processing section 33. The color signal processing section 32 transmits second narrow-band luminance data YL' to the luminance signal processing section 33. The luminance signal processing section 33 has a YH matrix circuit 33a, a correction value calculation circuit 35 and an adder 33b. The YH matrix circuit 33a generates first wide-band luminance data YH from correction data components Mg, Cy, Ye and G. The correction value calculation circuit 35 determines whether or not the first wide-band luminance data YH exceeds a prescribed threshold. When the data YH exceeds the prescribed threshold, the correction value calculation circuit 35 generates correction data kYH' based on the first wide-band luminance data and the second narrow-band luminance data YL'.
