<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system and a printer, using a portable device such as a cellphone, or a portable storage medium such as an IC card, and especially allowing a change of a printing condition or selection of print data. <P>SOLUTION: Information about a control condition or the print data from the cellphone supplied through a portable device data reader/writer 20 are supplied to an MFP main part 10 through a portable device data reader/writer control part 16, and print processing according to the control condition or print processing of the print data is performed in the MFP main part 10.
