<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen process printing device which can carry out an accurate and efficient operation to register the position of a masking plate with that of a substrate, and a screen process printing method. <P>SOLUTION: The screen process printing method is to print a paste on the substrate 10 through pattern holes with the help of a squeegee by bringing the substrate into contact with the masking plate. In this method, an image obtained by photographing the positions A and B of the substrate 10 on which the paste is trially printed, with the assistance of a substrate acknowledging camera 20a, is displayed on the display screen of an image displaying part 31. Further, this displayed image is visually checked by a machine operator so as to compare the positional deviation levels Δxa, Δya, Δxb and Δyb between the printed paste 32 and an electrode 10, in the position A and the position B, with the scale 31a. Then, this comparison results are detected as attributes, which are, in turn, manually entered to a control operation device, and the correction level of positioning control parameters for correcting a positional deviation, is sought by operation.
