摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology inhibiting poor combustion and increase of HC emission in recovery from fuel cut operation to normal operation under low temperature environment, in an internal combustion engine provided with a low pressure EGR device. <P>SOLUTION: This system is provided with a turbocharger including a compressor provided in an intake passage and a turbine provided in an exhaust passage, a low pressure EGR means returning part of exhaust gas to an internal combustion engine via a low pressure EGR passage connecting the exhaust passage in a downstream of the turbine and the intake passage in an upstream of the compressor, a low pressure EGR valve provided in the low pressure EGR passage and changing passage section area of the low pressure EGR passage, and a valve control means controlling open and close of the low pressure EGR valve. When it is judged that the internal combustion engine is under a predetermined low temperature environment, the low pressure EGR valve is opened during fuel cut operation condition of the internal combustion engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
