<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical branch connection apparatus which facilitates attaching/detaching operation of a cassette, has a structure capable of viewing an adaptor number and a wire number display from a front side even when the cassette is made small in size and high in density, and can prevent an optical fiber cord from kinking even when increasing the number of connecting fibers. <P>SOLUTION: The optical branch connection apparatus is equipped with cassettes 11 by which a plurality of optical fiber cords are connected through connectors and a carrier 10 by which a number of cassettes 11 are held in parallel with fixed spaces apart. The cassettes 11 are provided with guide fins 2a, 2b projecting vertically and a locking lug 1c that elastically deforms laterally at least in either the upper or the lower end and that engages in the leaving direction of the cassettes 11 from the carrier 10. The carrier 10 is provided with a space 13 that can house the cassettes 11 in the depth direction and a plurality of guide grooves 3a, 4a that are arranged orthogonally to the attaching/detaching direction of the cassettes 11, wherein one guide groove 4a is a slit for engaging the guide fin 2a of the cassettes 11 while the other guide groove 3a is a slit having a width for engaging both the guide fin 2a and the locking lug 1c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
