PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition having extremely improved processability in addition to an extremely low loss tangent (tanδ). SOLUTION: The rubber composition is produced by compounding (B) a hydrated silicic acid having 50-250 m<SP>2</SP>/g specific surface area measured by cethyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) adsorption, and satisfying the relation of Y<5.00+0.47×X [wherein, Y is the percentage (%) of mass reduction when heated at 750°C for 3 hr; and X is the percentage (%) of mass reduction when heated at 105°C for 2 hr], with (A) a rubber component comprising at least one kind of a natural rubber and a synthetic diene rubber, and further compounding (C) a silane coupling agent having a specific structure in an amount of 1-20 mass% relative to the hydrated silicic acid (B) therewith.
