PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten machining time, and to simplify a control program for feeding workpiece and machining. SOLUTION: A guide bush 18 is disposed in front of a main spindle 15 of a lathe 11. Behind the lathe 11, a material feeding machine 12 equipped with a pushing shaft 25 for pushing out workpiece W toward a front side is disposed. During last processing of the workpiece W1, the pushing shaft 25 is retracted to a home position, and new workpiece WN is fed between the workpiece W under processing and the pushing shaft 25. After finishing of the last processing of the workpiece W, the main spindle 15 is retracted and a remaining material WR is pulled out from the guide bush 18. Then, gripping of the remaining material WR by a collet chuck 16 is released. By the forward movement of the pushing shaft 25, the remaining material WR is pushed out to a part between the main spindle 15 and the guide bush 18 through the new workpiece WN.
