Provided is a fuel cell system which can reduce the time required for actually executing a low temperature countermeasure process. The fuel cell system includes a control unit which references an FC temperature and the like which are detected upon start so as to judge whether the low temperature countermeasure process is required upon start. If it is judged that the low temperature counter measure process is required, the control unit controls the output voltage of the fuel cell to a target voltage for the low temperature countermeasure process and executes the low temperature countermeasure process without setting the fuel cell to an OCV state. |
