The invention provides a herbicidal composition which permits a lower dosage than that of single application of either herbicidal compound and is thus effective in environmental load reduction in and around the area of application and which is enlarged in weeding spectrum and can give a herbicidal effect persistent over a long period. A herbicidal composition containing both a herbicidal benzoyl- pyrazole compound (a) represented by the general formula (I) or a salt thereof: (I) (wherein Q is -C(O)SR³ or hydrogen; R¹ is alkyl or cycloalkyl; R² is hydrogen or alkyl; R³ is alkyl, cycloalkyl, or the like; R⁴ is alkyl, haloalkyl, or the like; R⁵ is hydrogen, alkyl, or the like; and R⁶ is haloalkyl, halogeno or the like) and other herbicidal compound (b) as the active ingredients.
