[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An absorption article (X1) having an absorption body (3) formed by stacking absorption cores (3A, 3B) so that surfaces (F) to which absorptive polymer (30) is swollen and exposed face each other. The absorption cores (3A, 3B) each have a polymer layer (40) formed on base fibers (F). The polymer layer (40) is formed by allowing the absorptive polymer (30) to absorb liquid and swell by gelation so that the one surface (F) of a fiber base (31) is exposed through inter-fiber gaps.
