A novel, cost-effective projectile containing an alkoxylated glycerin bas ed fill composition and the method of making the fill composition. The proje ctile may be composed of gelatin, polystyrene, polyolefin, or mixture thereo f. The alkoxylated glycerin may be a catalyzed reaction product between a re fined or crude glycerin and an alkylene oxide, such as ethylene oxide.
