<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire excellent in operability. <P>SOLUTION: A guide wire (1) includes a wire body (10) having a tapered portion (22) disposed on a distal end portion and having an outside diameter progressively increasing toward the base end, and a coil (4) disposed in covering relation to the distal end portion of the wire body (10) and a helically shaped wire. The coil (4) of the guide wire (1) includes an increasing wire-diameter portion (41) where the diameter of the wire increases continuously toward the distal end, the increasing wire-diameter portion (41) being disposed in covering relation to all outer circumference of the tapered portion (22) in a longitudinal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
