<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to respond to the stop of a printer without a requiring a terminal device user to always monitor an operation condition, when the printer stops in a printing system which includes the printer and a print controller and is connected to a network to which a plurality of terminal devices is connected. <P>SOLUTION: When it is required to report a change in the condition detected during operation of the printing system by a check box 30, notification mail data for reporting the change to an address designated as a contact address correspondingly to the designation is transmitted.
