<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having improved holding ability of pixel potential by increasing the holding capacity of pixel potential necessary for driving a pixel of a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with: a scanning line 1-3 which is formed along a first direction on one substrate of a pair of substrates formed across liquid crystal; a signal line 8-1 formed along a second direction intersecting the first direction; a pixel electrode disposed at a position corresponding to an intersection part of the scanning line 1-3 and the signal line 8-1; a transistor which performs switching control of the pixel electrode; and capacitors 4-1, 4-2 which are electrically connected with the pixel electrode, wherein an electrode opposite to pixel electrodes having pixel potentials of the capacitors 4-1, 4-2 is equipped with a first electrode 8-2 having high potential with respect to the pixel potentials and a second electrode 8-4 having low potential with respect to the pixel potentials. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
