<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image display device capable of improving color reproducibility by using filters of a six color configuration of RGB and YMC. <P>SOLUTION: The color image display device 10 includes a liquid crystal display panel 14 consisting of: a liquid crystal display portion 18 having color filters in which a region constituting one pixel consists respectively of red, green, blue, yellow, magenta and cyan filter regions; a color calculation section 12 which creates the six color signals including the red signal, green signal, blue signal, yellow signal, magenta signal, and cyan signal based on the RGB signals inputted from the outside; the liquid crystal display portion 18; and a driver 16 including a controller for controlling the display of the filter region of each color of the liquid crystal display portion 18 based on the six color signals and displaying the images corresponding to the RGB signals on the liquid crystal display portion 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
