PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for packaging two or more kinds of powders of different specific gravities into a powder storage container, whereby an area of only the powder of the specific gravity greater than the other(s) is prevented from occurring in the powder storage container after packaging finishes.

SOLUTION: In the powder packaging method, toner To that is the first powder having the greatest specific gravity and containing no carrier is mixed with air within a toner storage section 615. Consequently the volume of the toner To is increased containing air between the particles of the toner To. After a toner packaging apparatus 610 packages the toner To containing air into a toner bottle 120 serving as the powder storage container, a carrier packaging apparatus 620 starts packaging the carrier Ca that is the second powder. Before air escapes from the spaces between the particles of the toner To in the toner bottle 120 and the volume of the toner To decreases and stabilizes, the packaging of the carrier Ca is finished.
