PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent looseness of a steering column, by increasing a slide-contact force (retaining force) of a vehicle body side bracket or the like without increase in manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: In addition to the vehicle body side bracket 6 and a column side bracket 7, a support bracket 14 extended from a lower column 2 to between the vehicle body side bracket 6 and the column side bracket 7 is newly disposed. Therefore, in tilt fastening or telescopic fastening, the vehicle body side bracket 6, the support bracket 14, and the column side bracket 7 are brought into slide-contact with each other. Therefore, the slide contact forces of the brackets 6, 14, 7 are enhanced to surely prevent the looseness of the steering column. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
