PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance contrast agent that is suitable for specifically bonding to a biological structure, particularly bonding to iron effectively. SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance contrast agent can bond to a biological structure in the body of a mammal through a bonding component, where the bonding component comprises an isolated polypeptide, where the polypeptide comprises a first amino acid sequence of a bacterial iron-binding protein or a derivative thereof, where the bacterial iron-binding protein or a derivative thereof exhibits iron-binding activities.
