PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire improving riding comfort and noise vibration performance while suppressing decline in high-speed durability. SOLUTION: The pneumatic radial tire 10 has at least one belt reinforcing layer on the radial outer side of a belt layer. The belt reinforcing layer is formed by adjacently arranging and spirally winding composite ribbon materials 26 constituted by covering two types of organic fiber cords 28H, 28L with rubber. At least one of the material quality and fineness of the organic fiber cords 28H, 28L varies from each other. Thus, by adjusting the proportion of the two types of organic fiber cords 28H, 28L, the mechanical properties such as rigidity and tension of the belt reinforcing layer can be adjusted.
