The device has a steel mesh (1) clamped in a primary shield over a protective object e.g. nuclear power plant, by clamping devices (4) so that a projectile e.g. aircraft, is thrown back or aligned to a detonation when the projectile is in contact with the mesh. Discharge of a combustion material and a continuation of fragments from a basis protection of a secondary shield are held at high probability due to detonation waves. The mesh is provided with adjustable slide resistances at nodes and/or ends.
