PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report missed calls, unread mails, or the like, more effectively by performing a reporting method according to the characteristics of household electrical appliances. SOLUTION: In a cellular phone unit installed in a charger, when there are missed calls and unread mails, the cellular phone unit installed in the charger monitors the turn-off operation of the power supply of the household electrical appliances in the same space, and performs operation according to the characteristics of the consumer electrical appliances, thus reporting the absence arrivals and the unread mails more effectively. More specifically, the cellular phone unit performs a visually effective reporting method, such as blinking of a display LED since the periphery becomes dark, when the power supply of the household electrical appliances having visually confirmable features, such as electric light, is turned off. Since the noise at the periphery is eliminated for silencing in the household electrical appliances having aurally confirmable characteristics of a television receiver, audio equipment, or the like, the cellular phone unit performs the aurally effective reporting method, such as announcement of a message.
