PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combined oil ring having excellent mountability on a piston and excellent sealability of the upper and lower surfaces of a ring groove. SOLUTION: This combined oil ring 1 comprises a pair of upper and lower rings 2, 3 in slidable contact with the inner peripheral surface of a cylinder 7; and a coil expander 4 pressing these rings. The pair of rings 2, 3 have webs 9, 12 projecting from the opposed surfaces, respectively. The axial width of one ring 2 at the web 9 portion exceeds 1/2 of the axial width of the ring groove 6 of the piston 5. The heights of the webs are not uniform but irregular in the circumferential direction. The pair of rings are so arranged that the webs are engaged with each other. The oil ring may be so formed that the axial width of at least one ring at the projecting portion of the web exceeds 1/2 of the axial width of the ring groove of the piston.
