PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of improving contrast by suppressing reflection of external light. SOLUTION: The light-emitting device 1 (organic EL device) is provided with a light-emitting element EL1 (organic EL element), a light reflecting layer 22 having a light reflecting pattern 22A opposed to the light-emitting element EL1, and a light absorption layer 24 which is installed on the opposite side to the light-emitting element EL1 of the light reflecting layer 22 and has a light absorption pattern 24A overlapping with the light reflecting pattern 22A flatly.
