PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip structure for an automobile in which a fore end of a flange hardly detaches from a fitting base part of a weather strip, and the holding force of the flange can be ensured. SOLUTION: In the weather strip structure 10 for sealing a space between a vehicle body opening part opening/closing member and a peripheral edge of a vehicle body opening part, the weather strip has a fitting base part 20 and a seal part 30. An interior member 40 with its fore end being abutted on the weather strip is fitted to an in-cabin side. The fitting base part 20 of the weather strip 10 has at least an exterior side wall 21 and a bottom wall 23. An interior side surface of the exterior side wall is fixed to or abutted on a side face of a flange 7, and a fore end of the flange 7 is abutted on the bottom wall. Projection parts 24, 44 are formed on an outer surface of the bottom wall 23 or a back side of the interior member 40 at the interior position to the position at which the fore end of the flange 7 is abutted on the bottom wall 23, and the projection parts are abutted on the back side of the interior member 40 or the outer surface of the bottom wall 23.
