PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine and a control method thereof capable of seeking production efficiency even if a manufacturing cost of the injection molding machine is reduced by reducing the number of injection device relative to a mold device. SOLUTION: The injection molding machine 11 where the number of mold devices 27 is larger than that of injection devices 12 is equipped with a fluid supply mechanism 53 where a molten resin fills a cavity 52, and after starting of injection, any liquid of either gas or liquid fills the cavity 52, a closing mechanism 96 for closing a resin passage 92 between the cavity 52 and a resin filling hole 51b of the mold device 27, and a moving mechanism 17 which moves at least one of the mold device 27 or the injection device 12 after closing the resin passage 92 and makes nozzle touch with the injection device 12 to another mold device 27.
