<p>The method involves measuring position and size of eccentricity of a workpiece (1) i.e. gear wheel, or a reference surface (7) of the work piece to a vertical axis (z) using a sensor (8). The sensor is integrated in a machine tool (2) i.e. teeth grinding machine. A carrier (5) is shifted relative to another carrier (6) in a direction perpendicular to the vertical axis by an actuator (9), in such a manner that the size of the eccentricity is minimum. Cutting of the workpiece is implemented by using a processing tool e.g. grinding disk, as the actuator. An independent claim is also included for a machine tool for cutting and processing a workpiece.</p> |
