A device (100) comprises a wireless connection provision unit (101) for providing wireless connection to a user equipment in a cellular mobile system, a receiving unit (102) for receiving control data for starting a trace function of the user equipment, a processing unit (103) for processing the trace function based on the control data, and a transmitting unit (104) for forwarding the control data and trace data to a target device in case of a handover of the user equipment to the target device.
