A home broadcasting system and method using the Internet are provided to install built-in speakers in several places in the home, receive music broadcasting and various audio contents automatically through the Internet by using a separate music terminal, and broadcast the music broadcasting and various audio contents through the speakers, thereby enabling users to listen to music free everywhere in the home and select and enjoy customized music broadcasting. A home broadcasting server(4) stores connection information about plural music broadcasting stations on the Internet(3) and relays the broadcasting of the music broadcasting stations to a user terminal connected through the Internet. A music terminal(1) is installed in the house of each subscriber, is connected to the home broadcasting server through the Internet, and connects the plural music broadcasting stations on the Internet by the selection of a user to reproduce music broadcasting. Plural speakers are installed at several places in connection with the music terminal in the house of each subscriber, and output an audio signal received from the music terminal. A sound source DB(4a) stores sound source data including at least one of various music, audio contents for language study, and audio contents for children in a digital data file format. An operator computer(5) is connected to the home broadcasting server and used for the operator of a home Internet broadcasting service to compose and modify the contents of the home Internet broadcasting service. The home broadcasting server is connected to the sound source DB to manage sound source data files in the sound source DB, loads the sound source data files by the request of a user in the home, and transmits the sound source data files to the music terminal.
